EXPLORE THE ISLE OF WIGHT

LOCAL ACTIVITIES

Chilton Farm is perfectly placed for exploring the Isle of Wight, with a sandy beach and coastal walks close by and many of the Island’s best loved attractions within easy reach. From dramatic scenery and royal history to memorable family adventures, these are six places well worth adding to your stay.

CHILTON FARM

A few of our favourite Island days out

Chilton Chine and Coastal Walks

Follow the farm’s private track to the unspoilt sandy beach at Chilton Chine, then join the nearby coastal path for clifftop walks and far reaching sea views. It is an easy choice for quiet mornings, sunset strolls and days beside the water.

The Needles and Alum Bay

See one of the Isle of Wight’s most famous landmarks, ride the chairlift towards Alum Bay, watch local crafts and take a boat trip for views of the Needles Rocks and lighthouse.

Blackgang Chine

The UK’s oldest theme park brings together rides, dinosaurs, pirates, fairy tales and dramatic coastal scenery. It is a memorable family day out with something for several generations.

Tapnell Farm Park

An all weather family attraction with animals, indoor and outdoor play, go karts, mini golf and plenty of space to explore. Tapnell also offers seasonal activities and welcoming places to eat.

Carisbrooke Castle

Explore the Island’s historic fortress, walk the walls, climb the Norman keep and discover the story of Charles I. The castle museum, Princess Beatrice Garden and famous donkeys make it a rewarding visit for all ages.

Osborne

Step inside Queen Victoria and Prince Albert’s Island home, then explore the gardens, grounds, private beach and Swiss Cottage. Its royal rooms and coastal estate make Osborne one of the Island’s essential historic days out.
